Devlog #8 : Fifth Week of Production


Dear game enthusiasts, welcome back! We're thrilled to bring you another week filled with thrilling updates.

To begin with, we have implemented a functional start screen UI which allows players to start or quit the game with ease. In addition, a heads-up display (HUD) has been incorporated into the arena scene to enhance the user experience. While a scoreboard has also been developed, it is still a work in progress, much like the HUD. To improve gameplay, we have added an aim laser to make it easier for players to visualize where they are aiming. Furthermore, new sound effects have been added, providing a more defined and well-mixed audio experience.

 Also the background of the level has been updated.

We also have some new VFX like a wind trail, invincibility Effect (when spawning) and a charging effect for the laser turret.

I'm delighted to announce that all of the traps are now fully functional and will certainly give players a run for their money! Our team also  brand new trap - a fan that rotates randomly and pushes players upwards. We're excited to see how inventive players will be in using this trap in creative and genius ways. Stay tuned for more updates!

In addition to the improvements, we are also refining the movement code to make it feel smoother and more intuitive for players. We are also experimenting with different level layouts to enhance the overall gameplay experience and make it even more enjoyable.
